Phyllis is a moma on the run!! Kevin blackmails Gloria!

Today (August 14, 2007) in Genoa City,

Phyllis:
She panics because she is nervous about what the upcoming verdict. Phyllis tells Michael that she is going to skip town with Summer and she is not coming back. She will not miss out on raising her daughter like she missed out on Daniel. Jack and Nick talk to her but it doesn’t work. The red head is determined to play Burger King and have it her way instead of listening to reason. Lauren empathizes with her as a mom but hates the position that she has put Michael in. At the courthouse, Michael tries to stall by telling the judge his client has the stomach flu. This doesn’t work. If Michael does not produce this client at the appointed time…he will face contempt charges.

Kevin:
After seeing Jenna go into a manic - convulsive state during his hospital visit, Kevin thinks he has to do something now or else Jenna is going to die. His brilliant plan…blackmail my mommie so I can pay for an even crazier lady’s surgery!! Kevin tells Gloria that if she doesn’t give him the money for the surgery, he’ll go to the police and rat her out about the Jabot incident. Gloria, being the conniving widow, counter offers Kevin with a proposal if you get the 411 on what Jeffery is really up to…she’ll give him the dough to pay for faker oh I mean Jenna’s surgery.

Victor and Nikki:
Nikki gets a 7 day extension from Katherine Chancellor to buy some time to get financing for the NVP project. When Nikki meets with Victor, she tells him that she has found financing….her highly intelligent (not) idea….the family pot of gold. Nikki wants to gamble her future divorce settlement away by using the money to fund the NVP project. Victor tells her this is not a good idea but if she wants to go ahead with it, then she can have the papers drawn up. Once again, where did Nikki get her business training from…the back of a cereal box??? This is a risky move to say the least. If she doesn’t make this Clear Springs deal work, she will lose everything and Victor’s promise to return her to her roots of poverty will be made good without him having to do much of anything. This is clearly a case of can’t see the forest for the trees…Nikki is so caught up in winning and showin’ everybody her business prowess that she can’t see the big canyon sized pot hole that’s two steps ahead.

Tomorrow’s grapevine:
Will Phyllis keep that ugly brunette wig on and get away with Summer or will she return to the flaming red head and show up in court? Will Nikki wise up or go down in idiotic flames! Why is Sharon confiding in Brad about what happened with her and Nick…does anyone really care what he thinks?
